The Beginnings of Baby Smith ~ Freehold, NJ Photographer

Jen and I have been friends since . . . well, it feels like since forever, at least a good 15 years. I was honored to photograph her wedding in August of 2009. Now, in only three months Jen will be a Mom!!

I'm not going to lie, I have never done a maternity shoot before. When Jen asked me I figured, sure why not! I am so glad that I did. I'm so grateful to have experienced and shared these moments with her. It was one of the best Sunday's that I have had in months.

Thank you Jen, for allowing me to be a part of such a momentous time, again! Can't wait to meet Baby Smith!!

Little Man Beckett ~ Pitman, NJ ~ October 3, 2011

There is no denying the indescribable bond between a mother and her baby.

Beckett was a preemie baby, born 7 weeks early into the arms of first-time parents Elisabeth and Tim. Elisabeth had only a split second to hold her newborn little boy before he was taken to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive-Care Unit). But, that split second is all it took for that unbelievable bond to flourish.

Even though Beckett was a tiny preemie, he was a very healthy and well developed baby. Yet, he would spend the next three weeks of his life in the NICU with his parents by his side. Elisabeth was there everyday from 9am to 9pm to be with her "little man" and nurse him. She had made a promise to herself to not use formula and to nurse her new baby, and that she did.

I believe it was this everyday ritual that truly fortified the maternal bond between Elisabeth and her "little man" Beckett.

Congratulations on your first baby boy!!!

True Winter Wonderland ~ 01.08.2011 ~ Jen & Phil Polito - Syracuse, NY Wedding Photographer

There is nothing like photographing the wedding of two individuals so perfect for each other, that you can not help but smile when you see them together. Jen and Phil have a love and chemistry that is unmistakably real to anyone. It's an entity that I personally, wish upon everyone to experience, at least once, in their lives.

Jen and Phil are both from Syracuse but met for the first time, three years ago, in NYC, where they both currently live. Call it fate . . . call it destiny. . . call it an act of God . . . call it what you want . . . there is no doubt that they are meant to be together.

It was a true Winter Wonderland; a gorgeous bride, in a gorgeous relationship, at a gorgeous location. I could not have asked for more!!

Congratulations Jen & Phil!! Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!!

Christmas Gift Reunites Friends ~ Jenelle Kappe Photography, New Jersey

I  have recently been reunited with so many old friends through my photography.

Featured in this post is Lauren and Ali Hehn, two sisters that I use to ride with when we were MUCH younger. It has been at least 15 years since I have seen either one of them.

Put back in touch through a mutual friend, Lauren gave me a call and asked me to do a barn shoot with her, her sister and both their horses. It was to be a Christmas gift for their Mom and Grandmother. The gorgeous red barn, recently built on her mother's property, was the perfect backdrop for a barn shoot on such a beautiful day.

Now that Christmas presents have been given out, I can share these pictures with everyone. I am so thankful to be reunited with both Lauren and Ali. It was so much fun hanging out with them and photographing. Hope you girls enjoy!!!
