Catherine & Glen :: Rainy Day Chicago Engagement Session :: 10.19.12

Catherine and Glen are so frickin' adorable together!!

The forecast was rain for the entire afternoon, yet we lucked out!! It only "sprinkled" until the very last ten minutes or so of our session together. Just when we were in the heart of downtown Chicago on the bridge. But, as you can see, it was well worth getting a bit soaked!! It was romantically gorgeous!!

I like to incorporate meaningful locations and props for my couples on their engagement shoot. I find it not only adds a little individuallity and flair to the shoot, but the shoot itself becomes much more sentimental to the them. Since Glen is British, we decided to incorporate Catherine's Mini Cooper into their shoot. Catherine found the perfect dead-end street (with no street parking) in downtown Chicago. Their very first date was Movies in the Park and they met each other by the south end of the park where the infamous "leg statues" are. They wanted to be sure to include the Chicago skyline into their shoot so we took some fabulous red and white balloons to the 18th St pedestrian bridge to Solider Field. It was perfect. The umbrella had no sentiments ... it was solely a necessity ... and a personal favorite prop of mine. :)

I am sure you'll agree that they are adorable together! Enjoy!!
